Hazardous Areas – Tanker Delivery
The area classification around tankers has been altered quite substantially. The Zone 1 area that previously
encased the entire tanker are has been reduced to cover an area within 1m of the tank connection points and
hoses. The zone 2 area that extended 4m from the connection points remains, but up to a height of 1m across
the entire area instead of the 1.25m within 2m that sloped down to ground at 4m. An additional Zone 2 has
been created 1m around the tanker vapour vent.
