So, how are we doing with regard to improving fire related safety controls?
Since 2007, we have identified 224 fire safety related hazards, with the number growing year on year since 2013
and believe that identifying, making safe, or sharing these potential safety issues with our clients has added
significant value to them and prevented several potentially serious incidents.
We have seen 3 actual fires on filling stations, including a vehicle fire, a skip fire and a litter bin fire and all have
been controlled at the time of discovery and not resulted in anyone being hurt, or any ‘significant’ damage of any
sort.
The line graph below indicated the trend and we would ask you to continue to be vigilant and continue the
excellent feedback on areas of improvement so that our clients can continue to improve the safety on their site
for their staff, site contractors and site patrons.

We are all a product of learning. Every skill we have; everything we know; everything we believe and everything we do has bee n learned
throughout the course of our lives. Some of us learn best by studying graphs and charts, some through visual presentations, and some by
reading detailed text books. It is important that we receive information in a format that works for us as individuals! That’s why at Xmo
Strata we use a variety of communication platforms such as bulletins, newsletters, videos etc. However, if you feel there is a better way for
us to share health and safety information, please let us know. Ultimately, your safety is in your hands – but we will do all we can to keep
you well informed!
