Daylight Savings Time ends on 30 October and the clocks with go back an hour. This will mean dusk will fall
during working hours and lights on photocells will illuminate automatically.

When working on signage or digging in areas potentially containing cables, always be aware that the cables can
become live at any time. This is particularly true for circuits controlled by timeclocks or photocells.

All circuits near the equipment you are working on should be isolated following your LOTO procedures, and you
must use a probe tester to ensure the circuit is dead. However, this process does not prevent the circuit from becoming
live at any time, especially if the circuit labelling is poor and it is controlled via automated switching systems. Before
touching any cable, immediately test it, do not rely on a test you carried out previously. If you are digging, regularly
       re-scan the area.

If you find a cable that you thought had been isolated has become live, do not touch it! Stop work and contact your
       line manager immediately.

We are all a product of learning. Every skill we have; everything we know; everything we believe and everything we do has been learned
throughout the course of our lives. Some of us learn best by studying graphs and charts, some through visual presentations, and some by
reading detailed text books. It is important that we receive information in a format that works for us as individuals! That’s why at Xmo
Strata we use a variety of communication platforms such as bulletins, newsletters, videos etc. However, if you feel there is a better way for
us to share health and safety information, please let us know. Ultimately, your safety is in your hands – but we will do all we can to keep
       you well informed!
