Health, Safety & Environmental Bulletin No 401

                                                   13 March 2014

                                                 Falling Side Panel

Please see enclosed a self-explanatory bulletin that was shared with us by ABB.

This incident shows the importance of always wearing gloves even if the immediate task does not
appear to necessitate them. We regularly have to remove panels, including pump panels, fascia panels,
or MID panels, there is always the possibility of something unexpected being behind the panel, or the
removal of the panel causing unintended movement of adjacent objects.

Always carry out a LMRA and try to identify anything that may be dislodged or become unstable
before removing panels. Keep your hands out of the line of fire in case something hidden does fall out,
and ensure the work area is suitably isolated to ensure if an item does fall to the ground, it will remain
           inside the secure area.

We are all a product of learning. Every skill we have; everything we know; everything we believe and everything we do has
been learned throughout the course of our lives. Some of us learn best by studying graphs and charts, some through visual
presentations, and some by reading detailed text books. It is important that we receive information in a format that works
for us as individuals! That’s why at Xmo Strata we use a variety of communication platforms such as bulletins, newsletters,
videos etc. However, if you feel there is a better way for us to share health and safety information, please let us know.
Ultimately, your safety is in your hands – but we will do all we can to keep you well informed!
