Following this incident, we requested clarification from BP as to statutory sign location
guidelines in order that we can maintain consistency and avoid the signs being missed by
         the general public.

Following some very positive dialogue between our respective companies, BP provided a

visual standards document which clarifies the different types of pumps and their relevant
types and positioning of the labeling / livery. Page 27 is reproduced below showing the
HSSE graphics and their positioning. A full copy of the guidelines has been issued to all

         site teams.

They also made the following comment: “The sign as pictured should now be located on
each side of the column facing the customer as they refuel or if no column is available
then, on the inside face of the pump although I don’t think we can specify facing the
ingress as I believe on some pumps one face has ventilation grills. (The pump pictured
looks like a diesel pump but ‘no smoking’ signs are fitted to provide a consistent
         message).”

Please ensure you follow these guidelines where possible in future – should you have any
site specific queries, please contact your supervisor. Please continue to be vigilant and
promote safety at all times, remembering that whilst on site, you are representing both
         your company and our customer.
