Health, Safety & Environmental Bulletin No 358

                                                    23 May 2013

Safe System of Work Feedback Initiative

As part of our continual improvement process, we encourage site teams to suggest improvements to our
           safe systems of work.

Every month two Safe System of Work (JHA/JSA/SMSs) are shared for discussion and review.
Feedback forms are provided and operatives are actively encouraged to send any comments or
           suggestions.

We have been pleased with the quality of some of the suggestions from those actually doing the work
and have made significant improvements to all Safe Systems of Work that have been reviewed as part
           of this initiative.

Ten Safe Systems of Work have now been reviewed, and a total of sixty improvements made to them.

We would like to thank everybody that has made suggestions, and encourage all crews to let us know
of any omissions or areas for improvement we can make to any of our procedures.

We are all a product of learning. Every skill we have; everything we know; everything we believe and everything
we do has been learned throughout the course of our lives. Some of us learn best by studying graphs and
charts, some through visual presentations, and some by reading detailed text books. It is important that we
receive information in a format that works for us as individuals! That’s why at Xmo Strata we use a variety of
communication platforms such as bulletins, newsletters, videos etc. However, if you feel there is a better way for
us to share health and safety information, please let us know. Ultimately, your safety is in your hands – but we
will do all we can to keep you well informed!
