                                                 Work Equipment

Please see enclosed a safety alert regarding a work equipment that was shared with us by Artelia.

This is a reminder of the need to ensure all equipment used is in good condition and fit for purpose.
Only use equipment for the task for which they were designed. Never remove any guard or safety
device. If any equipment is faulty take it our of service and inform your line manager.

Checking tools and equipment should be a standard part of your last minute risk assessment (LMRA)
process, and should be carried out throughout the day. Do not rely on weekly / monthly audits to find
problems with equipment or tools, inspect them every time you use them.

This applies to equally to hand tools, plant, access equipment and any other equipment or materials
being used or installed on site. You should also look at the sites equipment near your work area,
defective site equipment can pose a hazard or be a hazard to future workers. Notify the site
representative of any site equipment faults.

We are all a product of learning. Every skill we have; everything we know; everything we believe and everything we do has
been learned throughout the course of our lives. Some of us learn best by studying graphs and charts, some through visual
presentations, and some by reading detailed text books. It is important that we receive information in a format that works for
us as individuals! That’s why at Xmo Strata we use a variety of communication platforms such as bulletins, newsletters,
videos etc. However, if you feel there is a better way for us to share health and safety information, please let us know.
Ultimately, your safety is in your hands – but we will do all we can to keep you well informed!
