Health, Safety & Environmental Bulletin No 546

                                                  15 December 2016

                                                     Utility Strikes

Please see enclosed safety alerts regarding utility strikes, shared with us by CBRE.

Before carrying out any ground disturbance work (drilling or digging), always complete a ground disturbance check
(Form 24.1.4a), this form will guide you through the necessary steps to ensure you are safe and that you are complying
       with customer rules.

CAT scanning with a Genny is required before any ground disturbance. If you are asked to carry out any works that
requires breaking the surface and you don’t have a CAT scanner and Genny, contact your line manager immediately.

However, always remember that even CAT scanning can fail to identify some services, so always be vigilant and proactively
keep a look for signs of services.

We are all a product of learning. Every skill we have; everything we know; everything we believe and everything we do has been learned
throughout the course of our lives. Some of us learn best by studying graphs and charts, some through visual presentations, a nd some by
reading detailed text books. It is important that we receive information in a format that works for us as individuals! That’s why at Xmo
Strata we use a variety of communication platforms such as bulletins, newsletters, videos etc. However, if you feel there is a better way for
us to share health and safety information, please let us know. Ultimately, your safety is in your hands – but we will do all we can to keep
       you well informed!
