Drug Testing

We have a policy of carrying out random drug and alcohol testing of all employees. Last year we
carried out seven random tests. The results of all tests are confidential, as is any medical information
obtained.

The use of alcohol and drugs may impair the safety of yourself and other employees. In line with your
terms of employment, it is therefore essential that you are not under the influence of any substance that
could affect your concentration or co-ordination.

We understand that people like to have a drink over the weekend or of an evening, but bear in mind that
it can take an hour for a unit of alcohol to pass through the body. Ensure you stop drinking within
suitable time to allow all the alcohol to pass before starting work the next day.

If you suspect your colleague is under the influence of drugs or alcohol, stop them working and notify
your line manager – you could be preventing them from having an accident.

We are all a product of learning. Every skill we have; everything we know; everything we believe and everything we do has
been learned throughout the course of our lives. Some of us learn best by studying graphs and charts, some through visual
presentations, and some by reading detailed text books. It is important that we receive information in a format that works for
us as individuals! That’s why at Xmo Strata we use a variety of communication platforms such as bulletins, newsletters,
videos etc. However, if you feel there is a better way for us to share health and safety information, please let us know.
Ultimately, your safety is in your hands – but we will do all we can to keep you well informed!
