LOTO Testing

Please see enclosed self explanatory bulletin from Esso.

This highlights the need to always test any equipment you isolate to ensure it is actually
dead before working on it. Just because you have isolated and locked something off, it
doesn’t necessarily mean the equipment is now safe to work on.

Often we come across circuits that are incorrectly labelled, or incorrectly wired, and by
turning off the isolator, this does not isolate the circuit that it was labelled as. Always
ensure you lock off and test the circuit to ensure it is safe.
