Please see enclosed explanatory Safety Alert.
This shows the dangers of removing your gloves for any purpose.
If you think you need to remove your gloves to carry out a task, then there is a problem
with the JSA, or with the glove, so contact your supervisor and ask for guidance!
Please also spend some time to read through all the JSA’s and send us suggestions as to
how they can be improved, e.g. where the glove type is inappropriate, or where steps
have been missed out – each suggestion that is implemented is worth ten points in the
Hearts and Minds New York completion!
Remember, it’s never OK to take your gloves off whilst working on site, even for a
second!
Our individual safety is not solely in our hands, we have to rely on those around us to steer us away
from danger and warn us of potential hazards. We need safety awareness to be instinctive and form an
integral part of our working lives; it is this, in turn, that may save the lives of others.
