Health, Safety & Environmental Bulletin No 324

                                                  11 October 2012

                                             Housekeeping Initiative

Following a trend analysis of our incident
           statistics, we have identified housekeeping
issues as a growing problem, particularly with
regard to fixings and waste being left on the
           bed of MEWPs.

In order to help control this, we have issued all
crews with highly visible buckets, which are to
be placed on the MEWP and used to store any
           fixings or small parts.

The use of these buckets will be monitored and
checked during safety audits and any feedback
           welcomed.

If you have any further suggestions to improve
the safety on site, be that a housekeeping issue,
or any other problem, we always welcome
suggestions and are currently running a Safety
Award where you could win £1000 for the best
           suggestion!

We are all a product of learning. Every skill we have; everything we know; everything we believe and everything
we do has been learned throughout the course of our lives. Some of us learn best by studying graphs and
charts, some through visual presentations, and some by reading detailed text books. It is important that we
receive information in a format that works for us as individuals! That’s why at Xmo Strata we use a variety of
communication platforms such as bulletins, newsletters, videos etc. However, if you feel there is a better way for
us to share health and safety information, please let us know. Ultimately, your safety is in your hands – but we
will do all we can to keep you well informed!
