Part of this planning process should be to ensure your vehicle is tidy and roadworthy. If your vehicle is
tidy, you should be able to see that you everything needed at a glance, have clear access to your first
aid kit, fire extinguisher and spill kit in the event of an emergency and be able to find your tools and
equipment without having to hunt extensively for it.

Our safety focus topic for April 2012 will be “Job Planning and Preparation” and as part of that we will
be engaging all crews via our Field Services Managers to establish and provide feedback as to how we
can be better prepared and what either the office or site teams can do to make sure we are.

We are all a product of learning. Every skill we have; everything we know; everything we believe and everything
we do has been learned throughout the course of our lives. Some of us learn best by studying graphs and
charts, some through visual presentations, and some by reading detailed text books. It is important that we
receive information in a format that works for us as individuals! That’s why at Xmo Strata we use a variety of
communication platforms such as bulletins, newsletters, videos etc. However, if you feel there is a better way for
us to share health and safety information, please let us know. Ultimately, your safety is in your hands – but we
will do all we can to keep you well informed!
