Hand Injury
Please see enclosed safety alert regarding hand injury, shared with us by Artelia.
Hand injuries are our most common cause of injury, 49% of all incidents have been injuries to the hand or fingers. This is why
we require all employees to wear gloves at all times, and specify the minimum rating of glove for every task in our JSAs. It is
never acceptable for you to take off your gloves for any task, if you need additional dexterity fingerless gloves, that still protect
the main part of your hand should be worn.
If you have any problems, concerns or suggestions with regard to the gloves specified in the JSA, notify your line manager.
We are all a product of learning. Every skill we have; everything we know; everything we believe and everything we do has been learned
throughout the course of our lives. Some of us learn best by studying graphs and charts, some through visual presentations, a nd some by
reading detailed text books. It is important that we receive information in a format that works for us as individuals! That’s why at Xmo
Strata we use a variety of communication platforms such as bulletins, newsletters, videos etc. However, if you feel there is a better way for
us to share health and safety information, please let us know. Ultimately, your safety is in your hands – but we will do all we can to keep
you well informed!
