Work Equipment

Please see enclosed safety alert regarding an injury following using a modified angle grinder, shared
with us by BP.

Never modify equipment in ways not intended by the manufacturer. Never operate any equipment with
barriers damager or removed. If the equipment is not fit for purpose, contact your line manager.

All equipment used on site must be used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

Read the instructions before using any new plant, and contact your line manager if there is anything you
do not understand, or if you cannot find the instructions.

Before using any equipment, inspect it, using checklists for specific items were applicable. If you find
any faults report them to your line manager – do not use faulty or damaged equipment.

We are all a product of learning. Every skill we have; everything we know; everything we believe and everything we do has
been learned throughout the course of our lives. Some of us learn best by studying graphs and charts, some through visual
presentations, and some by reading detailed text books. It is important that we receive information in a format that works for
us as individuals! That’s why at Xmo Strata we use a variety of communication platforms such as bulletins, newsletters,
videos etc. However, if you feel there is a better way for us to share health and safety information, please let us know.
Ultimately, your safety is in your hands – but we will do all we can to keep you well informed!
