Health, Safety & Environmental Bulletin No 462

                                                    07 May 2015

                                                Fall From Scaffold

Please see enclosed safety alert regarding a fall from height that was shared with us by Gilbarco.

Some people think that creating a well barriered working area is a hassle, this incident shows why it is necessary.
We use high visibility barriers to ensure drivers entering and manoeuvring on the site are aware of the work area
and can clearly see the danger. Vehicles are used in the line of fire as additional barriers where there is
           significant risk of collision.

Setting up these barriers and maintaining them as the work area moves is time consuming, but could save your
           life.

If you do not have sufficient barriers to create a suitable safety zone around your work area, contact your line
           manager immediately.

We are all a product of learning. Every skill we have; everything we know; everything we believe and everything we do has
been learned throughout the course of our lives. Some of us learn best by studying graphs and charts, some through visual
presentations, and some by reading detailed text books. It is important that we receive information in a format that works for
us as individuals! That’s why at Xmo Strata we use a variety of communication platforms such as bulletins, newsletters,
videos etc. However, if you feel there is a better way for us to share health and safety information, please let us know.
Ultimately, your safety is in your hands – but we will do all we can to keep you well informed!
