Health, Safety & Environmental Bulletin No 227

                                          S Martin – 13 January 2011

                                       Adding real value through safety

Last year we reported a significant reduction in our insurance premium as a result of our
stringent safety management systems and related achievements.

I am pleased to confirm that, following an audit by Allianz, our premium has again been
reduced for the forthcoming year. As you will see attached, our renewal came with first-class
           feedback from the auditors.

Constructive feedback, whether positive or negative, is always sought in order for us to
continually review our safety management systems. As such, the insurance company were
asked to visit our premises and we actively invited input and feedback.

This further reduction means that our insurance premiums are much lower than some of our
direct competitors, and as well as offering our customers assurances that the work on their sites
is the safest it possibly can be, it consequently ensures that we are amongst the most
           competitive companies in our industry.

As we discussed at our 2010 Safety Awareness Day, we openly share our safety record, and the
initiatives we implement, to raise the bar in health and safety industry-wide.

We use our potential incident / near miss reports to identify trends and tailor our toolbox talks,
training and bulletins to mitigate the risks identified, BUT still have a lot to learn if we are to
achieve a working environment that is truly incident and injury free on an ongoing basis.

If you would like further information on our annual safety days or what is covered in them,
please feel free to contact us.

Risk management is a big step towards accident prevention; however, it is dependent on the risk firstly
being identified, then controlled. We need safety awareness to be instinctive and form an integral part
of both our working and home lives; it is this, in turn, that may save the lives of others. Remember: if
shared, risks can be mitigated before they pose a threat.

If you have any queries regarding the Safety Bulletin content or require further information please
