Summer Driving

Please see enclosed self-explanatory bulletin that was shared with us by ExxonMobil.

Ian Kidger (Safety Advisor UK/Ireland/EMIL, Esso Petroleum Company Ltd) stated, “As summer(!)
approaches our roads take an uptick in risks. In addition the UK saw its first increase in Road Fatalities
in 2011 at 1901 fatalities and 208,000 serious injuries. In numbers that is 6 people a day who leave
home, never to return, ever. 60 a day are hospitalised 20 with life changing / limiting injuries. If we
now add in unseasonal floods, heavy rain, the mix becomes even more challenging – especially for the
less experienced driver."

The Olympics this Summer will increase the traffic on some major roads, and add to delays and
frustration, take this into account when you plan your journey.

We are all a product of learning. Every skill we have; everything we know; everything we believe and everything
we do has been learned throughout the course of our lives. Some of us learn best by studying graphs and
charts, some through visual presentations, and some by reading detailed text books. It is important that we
receive information in a format that works for us as individuals! That’s why at Xmo Strata we use a variety of
