Health, Safety & Environmental Bulletin No 466

                                                      4 June 2015

                                                    MEWP Failure

Please see the attached Safety Advice kindly shared by Network Rail.

We have advised our project and planning team not to use this specific MEWP until the outcome of the
investigation is established and it is proven that this is not an inherent fault.

As a safeguard, our plant provider has been advised that if the MEWP we order is not available, they
should not substitute it with this model.

Please ensure that you complete your MEWP check before using the machine and follow the guidance
given on your IPAF training course at all times.

Our MEWP Safety video is shared on our You Tube Channel in the interests of sharing Best Practice. To

We are all a product of learning. Every skill we have; everything we know; everything we believe and everything we do has
been learned throughout the course of our lives. Some of us learn best by studying graphs and charts, some through visual
presentations, and some by reading detailed text books. It is important that we receive information in a format that works for
us as individuals! That’s why at Xmo Strata we use a variety of communication platforms such as bulletins, newsletters,
videos etc. However, if you feel there is a better way for us to share health and safety information, please let us know.
Ultimately, your safety is in your hands – but we will do all we can to keep you well informed!
