Health, Safety & Environmental Bulletin No 410

                                                    15 May 2014

                                             Management of Change

Please see enclosed a self-explanatory bulletin that was shared with us by Artelia.

As discussed in last week’s bulletin, many accidents occur when the initial plan hits a snag and you
have to change the way the work will be carried out. This risk has become a focus point for us and you
will hear a lot about the importance of management of change. The management of change is the
process you go through to reassess the risks of the altered job, and the implementation and
           documentation of the additional controls.

It is important that if you are unable to carry out any works to the original plan, then you stop work,
carry out an assessment of the risks, and document those changes on the clearance certificate / Last
           minute risk assessment.

If you are unable to make the adjusted plan safe, then do not proceed – contact your line manager.

We are all a product of learning. Every skill we have; everything we know; everything we believe and everything we do has
been learned throughout the course of our lives. Some of us learn best by studying graphs and charts, some through visual
presentations, and some by reading detailed text books. It is important that we receive information in a format that works
for us as individuals! That’s why at Xmo Strata we use a variety of communication platforms such as bulletins, newsletters,
videos etc. However, if you feel there is a better way for us to share health and safety information, please let us know.
Ultimately, your safety is in your hands – but we will do all we can to keep you well informed!
