Health, Safety & Environmental Bulletin No 184

                                             S Martin – 1April 2010

                                            Restricted Work Incident

Please see enclosed self explanatory safety alert. Although the incident didn’t involve
Xmo Strata, it is pertinent to the work we interface with on some of our sites.

Always bear in mind the site conditions when working – accidents can happen whilst
carrying out the most simple of tasks – as demonstrated in this case where the engineer
was simply walking across a muddy site.

If you see anything that could potentially cause an injury, report it to the site manager
and your supervisor. Even reporting something as simple as ‘mud in the work area’
could have saved this person a serious injury.

                                                                                           Share Thoughts
                                                                                              About Risk

Risk management is a big step towards accident prevention; however, it is dependent on the risk firstly
being identified, then controlled. We need safety awareness to be instinctive and form an integral part
of both our working and home lives; it is this, in turn, that may save the lives of others. Remember: if
shared, risks can be mitigated before they pose a threat.

If you have any queries regarding the Safety Bulletin content or require further information please
contact any staff member of Xmo Strata Ltd.
