Health, Safety & Environmental Bulletin No 153

                                         S Martin – 3 September 2009

                                              Getting The Job Done

Please see enclosed explanatory safety bulletin.

This shows how dangers can arise on site by people not thinking though their actions
and just “getting the job done”. Any deviation from the SMS/JSA/JHA must be
considered and documented on your clearance certificate. This is not just true at the
start of the job when you arrive on site – if anything changes during the day, or you find
something is not as you expected, carry out a LMRA (Last minute risk assessment) and
document the change(s) on your clearance certificate.

If you feel you are being pressured to cut corners in order to get the job finished, please
           contact your supervisor.

Our individual safety is not solely in our hands, we have to rely on those around us to steer us away
from danger and warn us of potential hazards. We need safety awareness to be instinctive and form an
integral part of our working lives; it is this, in turn, that may save the lives of others.

If you have any queries regarding the Safety Bulletin content or require further information please
contact any staff member of Xmo Strata Ltd.
