Rescue Procedure

05th September 2013

Following direct feedback from our canopy structural teams regarding the method raising the alarm in an emergency when they are working on the canopy, we have reviewed our rescue policy and issued a new procedure and whistles to all structural teams.

The enclosed procedure enables crews to discuss the rescue policy with ground based people (e.g. crane operators) during the site induction, and guides the focus of the discussion to ensure that the ground people are aware of the requirements.

Whistles have been issued to structural crews to help to attract attention of ground based people in an emergency.

If you have any initiatives you think would improve the safety of the job, please contact us – we welcome all suggestions.
