Qualifications

Xmo Veritas has NICEIC hazardous area accreditation – the qualification needed to carry out electrical work on petrol forecourts and in hazchem environments.

Electricians are all accredited to City and Guild qualifications C&G2381 / C&G2380 and are already refreshing their qualifications to comply with the 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671:2008) which come into force from 1 July 2008. Employees will attend a four-day training course with the NICEIC, aimed at practicing electricians, to ensure they are aware of the content, format and application of the new regulations.

Test & Inspection engineers are all accredited to C&G2391.

City and Guild qualification descriptions:

C&G2381/ 2380:
The certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installation, which helps electricians comply with BS7671:2001, and covers topics such as “protection for safety, selection and erection of equipment, and inspection testing to meet the standards of IEE Wiring Regulations”.
C&G2382:
This qualification will succeed C&G2381 / 2380 in July 2008. This will ensure compliance with the 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations of 2008.
C&G2391:
The certificate in Inspection, Testing, Design and Certification of Electrical Installations, and “satisfies the NICEIC’s requirement that prospective qualifying managers and operatives fully understand, and comply with, the requirements of BS7671 for inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations”.
