Xmo Veritas Keeps Up-To-Date With Electrical Regulations
27 April 2008
Xmo Veritas, the electrical branch of sign installation and maintenance specialist Xmo Strata, has employees already refreshing their qualifications to comply with the 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.
Employees will attend a four-day training course with the NICEIC, aimed at practicing electricians, to ensure they are aware of the content, format and application of the new regulations.
The new Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations (BS 7671:2008) was published in January and will come into effect from 1 July 2008.
“As a market leader in our sector, it is important to both us and our clients that qualifications are up-to-date and relevant,” said Michael Mott, Qualifying Supervisor, Xmo Veritas. “The course will establish the fundamental changes to the regulations and ensure compliance on all customer sites.”
The company is responsible for all electrical contracting and periodic testing involved in projects carried out by parent company Xmo Strata.
Xmo Strata installs and maintains signs for major retailers and fuel forecourt operators and has built a strong health and safety ethos. Xmo Veritas adheres to the same principles and safety standards, providing electrical work and periodic testing with contractors trained to the highest British standards.
